SmartPesa SoftPOS Drives Contactless Payments Adoption
Singapore – SmartPesa, a leading provider of payment and agency banking solutions, has successfully completed the certification process for its SoftPOS solution in line with Mastercard and Visa’s functional requirements.
With the help and expertise of FIME, a leader in payments testing, SmartPesa was able to validate their innovative SoftPOS solution, which allows NFC-enabled smartphones and tablets to accept contactless card and mobile payments with digital onboarding; and fast, easy integration.
As one of the few labs recognized by Mastercard and Visa to perform product testing, SmartPesa tapped on FIME’s extensive experience to navigate the evolving validation requirements of Mastercard and Visa, ensuring their SoftPOS solution met the highest functionality standards.
Having recently been inducted into Mastercard’s award-winning startup engagement program Start Path, SmartPesa is a pioneer for SoftPOS solutions globally. As next steps, the company is looking at SoftPOS pilot implementations in India, Malaysia, South Africa, Thailand and UAE. There is also interest from projects in Singapore, Brazil and the Philippines.
